Burda 9674 - my first successful Burda. I'm not sure what was wrong with me (or the pattern company) 6 years ago, but now these patterns aren't frustrating. Or maybe I'd just chosen a pattern that was 'way beyond my sewing ability back then. :-D

In a stroke of genius, I have determined that actually FINISHING stuff I started can be a great way to make space in my sewing room for, you know, ME. I'm notorious for starting stuff (I am not alone here, I know it) with plenty of lead time for Christmas and birthdays, and eventually giving the handmade gift one and two years AFTER the occasion. Haha! Finally got my grubby little paws on my new laptop computer! Sexy notebook profile! Battery hasn't crapped out yet, either, and I'm on nearly full-bright mode. 56K modem actually connects at close to its rated speed! (Don't bug me about dial-up.
